Bodegas Tosos Ecologica was founded with the aim to produce in the most natural way a high quality wine in order to avail the beneficial effects of the wine in our healthy.

To take full advantage of the natural processing, it is important to have healthy fruits without chemical residues that can complicate the fermentation which is vital for the organic cultivation of the wineries. The organic cultivation beneficial for our health and our planet.

THE WINERY

Pioneer at Aragon, founded at Tosos, one of the fourteen municipalities integrated in the DO of Cariñena. From the family wine culture generation by generation, and our interest in organic wine cultivation since 1994, It is the first Bodega at Aragon that is dedicated exclusively at the cultivation and elaboration of organic wines.

The process is controlled and approved by the Aragon Comity of Organic Agriculture (C.A.A.E) according to the commission rules CE 2092/91 of Organic Production and for the DO Cariñena.

THE VINEYARDS
We have 23 hectares of familiar wine trees, stone soil and argillaceous with light mixing of limestone, all in dry farming. With an average of 30 years and a density of 2000 plants per hectare. All this is put together with an average production of 2 KG per plant that guarantee a high quality fruit.

We cultivate grapes and the varieties are in the Campo de Cariñena from its origins like the macabeo or viura, red garnacha, tempranillo and mazuela or red Cariñena.

THE PROCESS OF ELABORATION
It is a handmade vintage and the grapes are selected carefully. The fermentation is done in a stainless steel aerial tank that controls the temperature. In order to obtain a high quality product, the recent technologies and handmade processing are combined.

After the care brought to the wine trees during the course of the year till the processing of our wines LAGRIMA VIRGEN, Lagrima because it is the first drain that is used for its processing, the high quality and virgin because it is natural product without adulterate.
